THE owner of a sustainable arts business has been named one of the UK’s top female entrepreneurs in a leading campaign.

Sarah Smith who heads up The Dartmoor Artist, a sustainable arts and homewares business based near Haytor, has been named one of the UK’s most inspirational and dynamic female entrepreneurs by the f:Entrepreneur ‘#ialso100’ campaign.

Founding her business in 2018, Sarah is to be profiled alongside 99 other female entrepreneurs from across the country.

The campaign is all about celebrating the achievements of the women at the forefront of UK business.

Sarah was recognised for her unwavering commitment to sustainability, creativity and her tenacity to take her arts business just that one step further.

On being featured in the #ialso100 lineup, Sarah said: ‘To stand alongside 99 other female founders and to fly the flag for strong, tenacious and determined women who run incredible businesses is a huge privilege.’

Delivered by Small Business Britain, a champion of small businesses in the UK, f:Entrepreneur was launched in 2017 to highlight the stories of female business owners and help provide inspiration and role models to budding business women to be.

Now in its fifth year, the campaign offers a host of events, training and networking opportunities aimed at boosting one’s capability and confidence.

Both f:Entrepreneur and Small Business Britain were founded by Michelle Ovens CBE.
