WHILE emergency services and hospitals are still under severe pressure, there is good news that the Covid cases are still falling in Teignbridge.

Last night NHS Devon urged people to ‘do their bit’ and make sure they access the appropriate service, saving hospital emergency departments for life threatening conditions. Learn more at https://www.middevonadvertiser.co.uk/news/health/do-your-bit-and-protect-emergency-services-546575

The latest Government figures show that between April 29 and May 5, 145 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -44.0% compared to the previous seven days.

Sadly, between the same dates one person has died in the district within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 12 patients in hospital with coronavirus on May 3, none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.

The number of tests being carried out in Teignbridge has again fallen since free testing ended at the start of April.

Between April 28 and May 4, there have been 6,760 tests. This shows a decrease of -13.2% compared to the previous seven days.
