A KINGSTEIGNTON man has been remanded in custody in charges of possessing weapons, attempted wounding, criminal damage and coercive behaviour.
Christopher Harper, 49, of Avery Hill, has been sent for trial on five charges and is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on October 13.
He is accused of possessing an axe and a lump hammer at Avery Hill on September 10 2022 and on the same date of unlawfully being in possession of a sword.
Also on September 10, he is charged with attempting to unlawfully and maliciously wounding a police officer with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and of causing damage to a police vehicle.
A further charge is between March 2017 and September 2022 he engaged in conduct which was controlling and coercive behaviour by being verbally aggressive and causing or threatening damage and intimidating behaviour to another person.
