A 93-year-old woman is appealing to readers to help identify members of a Newton Abbot family pictured in photographs believed to date from the 1950s.
Viv Short sent the photographs to the Mid-Devon Advertiser, saying they are thought to show the Cooper family.
Viv said the pictures had been on her table for many years, but she now hopes people outside the family may be able to shed light on the identities of those pictured.
She said the Cooper family had strong links to the railway, with members either working for, or being connected with, the industry.
‘Samuel Cooper married Dona Short and the couple lived in her home village of Kingswear until 1951, when they moved to Plymouth’, Viv said.
‘Samuel’s brother, Stanley, also lived in Plymouth around that time’, Viv added.
