COMMUNITY gardeners in Exminster are celebrating after a cash grant has enabled them to buy a shed.

Parish councillors in the village are supporting the Community Garden Project and the money will to towards most of the cost of a solid shed.

Spokesman Jeremy Pyne explained: ‘This This will not only provide safe storage but I hope will also provide a focus for running events on site with refreshments and importantly gives us roof space to develop on site rain harvesting which will be so vital next spring and summer.

‘We've got our work cut out preparing the space for the new layout and once the shed arrives, we’ll be looking for some help with construction and kitting it out.’
