THE COAST path at Holcombe is back open again after repairs were completed.
A section of the South West Coast Path had to be closed at the beginning of November after damage to the base of the sea wall and steps.
Now it has been confirmed that contractors Balfour Beatty have finished the repairs on behalf of landowners Network Rail.
Devon County Council’s Public Rights of Way warden has been on site and removed barriers and site notices.
A 21-day emergency closure was imposed in the ‘interests of public safety’ while an assessment of the damage and repairs were carried out.
Holcombe residents had reported the damage after large blocks were seen scatted along the beach and cracks in the steps.
