WE can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. Citizens Advice Teignbridge believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.
Since closing its doors at Teignmouth library in 2020, the service has continued to support local residents with information and advice via telephone, email, web chat and video.
With a video link available at the Powwow cafe in Kingsway, they have been looking for a base in the centre of town - and have now found one.
Located at the Salvation Army Hall in Brunswick Street, the new outreach will be open on Thursday mornings.
‘We are grateful to the Salvation Army in making this space available,’ said chief officer Vincent Willson.
‘The current cost of living crisis has meant many more people are struggling to cope. In the last year we’ve seen more people in crisis than ever before.
‘With the support of our funders, and above all our highly trained staff and volunteers, this additional service will mean we can help even more local people.’
