CITIZENS Advice Teignbridge is appealing for new volunteers to help support people across the local community.
Volunteers provide free and confidential advice on issues including debt, housing, benefits and employment.
No previous experience is required, with full training and ongoing support provided.
The charity says volunteering can help people develop new skills, build confidence, meet others and gain valuable experience for future employment.
It can also offer a rewarding way to stay active during retirement.
Applicants should be confident using a computer and willing to listen, learn and help others.
Those interested can attend one of three volunteer ‘taster’ sessions this month: September 9 at the Manor House in Dawlish, September 11 at the Teignmouth Hub in Teignmouth, or September 16 at Citizens Advice in Market Walk in Newton Abbot.
All sessions begin at 10am.
