COVID cases rose by 20 per cent over the past seven days in Teignbridge.
Marie Curie is commemorating today, March 23 – two years after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the first UK-wide lockdown – as the National Day of Reflection.
The latest Government figures reveal that between March 16 and 22, 1,713 people in Teignbridge had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows an increase of 20.0% compared to the previous seven days.
Fortunately no-one has died in the district during that time.
However, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports that there were 40 patients in hospital with coronavirus on March 15, but no-one was a mechanical ventilator.
