SHOPPERS at the Co-op store in Dawlish have helped three local good causes.

The company’s Community Fund helps organisations and charities and for every £1 spent by customers on selected Co-op products, two pence goes into a membership fund which is matched by the Co-op to those community groups.

Members then choose the local causes to which their funds will be donated.

This time, Dawlish Community Transport, Roots Enhancement and the Rainbows were the chosen causes and they shared a total of £2,724.63.

A spokesman for Dawlish Community Transport said: ‘Thank you to the Co-op and our amazing residents and supporters who nominated us.

‘This will go a long way to keeping our services running.’

Roots spokesman added: ‘We are thrilled to have received our payment from Dawlish Co-op as one of their community causes.

‘Thank you so much to them and their customers.’
