THE BOOKMOLE will play host to a book signing session as The Land Of Magical Surprises author, Leah Heath, is set to visit the beloved Dawlish bookshop this Saturday.

In 2017 at 12 years of age Leah published The Land of Magical Surprises – a children’s book about a young girl who finds herself whisked away to a faraway land unlike anything she has ever seen.

Inspired by a creative writing class in primary school, Leah began jotting down ideas for what would later become her first book at only nine years old.

This included sketches and illustrations which, revised and polished somewhat through the use of computer software, made their way into the final version of the book.

This Saturday December 11 at 10am Leah, now 16 and studying for her A-Levels, will be hosting a book signing session at the Bookmole – a second hand bookshop nestled within Queens Antiques located along Queen Street, Dawlish.

Leah is the first author ever to do a signing at the beloved Dawlish bookshop.

Regarding future writing projects Leah said: ‘Currently I am studying for my A-Levels which are really quite stressful and take up a lot of my time

‘In the future, however, I am open to the idea of writing a second book, likely the next entry in The Land of Magical Surprises series but that’s not set in stone’.

Leah’s work is described as a must have Christmas book for children.

When a child finds herself in a magical land where animals are the only inhabitants, the young child has an amazing adventurer where animals talk – of course.

In the land she has a wonderful time with; rabbits, hedgehogs, squirrels and unicorns, they’re all there. Available in book shops by ordering, or online at Amazon and Waterstone.
