A BODY was found in the river Exe after a police search for a missing man. 

Police confirmed they had discovered the body of a man in the river yesterday during searches for a man who had been reported missing. 

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall police said formal identification was yet to take place but that 31-year-old Jordan Wyatt’s family had been informed. 

Devon and Cornwall Police had been looking for the missing man, using dive teams and the police helicopter, since he was last seen in the early hours of Monday morning. 

A police spokesperson said: ‘Officers have located the body in the River Exe during searches for a man who had been reported missing. 

‘Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Jordan Wyatt have been informed of this development.’

Tributes were subsequently paid to the Exeter dad from friends and his employers.
