THERE has been another biog drop in the number of Covid cases in Teignbridge.

Latest Government figures show that between Aprll 28 and May 4, 154 people had a confirmed positive test result, a decrease of -46.3% compared to the previous seven days.

Sadly, three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test have been recorded in the district over the same period.

The number of tests being taken has fallen since the lifting of coronavirus restrictions at the start of April.

However, between April 27 and May 3, there have been 6,837 tests. This shows a decrease of -13.6% compared to the previous seven days.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports 20 patients were in hospital on April 26, but none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.
