THE charity that runs libraries across Teignbridge is inviting artists to join a digital and media literacy project.

Libraries Unlimited are seeking creative practitioners from a wide range of artforms to design and deliver engaging, inclusive activities that explore digital and media literacy with children, young people and families across Devon.

This opportunity forms part of the charity’s wider digital literacy work, supporting communities to build confidence, critical thinking and creativity in an increasingly digital world.

While the theme centres on digital and media literacy, we are particularly keen to hear from artists whose approach prioritises creativity, participation and shared experiences.

Libraries Unlimited welcome proposals from practitioners working in visual arts, theatre, creative writing, spoken word, music, film, digital arts, craft and interdisciplinary practices.

The charity are inviting proposals from artists who can: deliver engaging, accessible workshops or creative experiences; work with diverse audiences, including families; encourage critical thinking and creativity around digital and media content; tour their activity to four library locations

Selected artist(s) will work in partnership with Libraries Unlimited to develop and deliver a programme of activity between May 18 and July 31, with dates agreed in advance.

‘We encourage applicants to read the following full call-out information carefully before submitting a proposal to ensure it aligns with the aims of the project’, the charity said.
