POLICE were called to a property in the Buckland area of Newton Abbot at 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday) following a domestic-related disturbance.

A police spokesperson said: ’Officers received a report of a person having assaulted another and potentially setting a fire at the address. A car windscreen had also been damaged.

’Officers attended, along with the fire service.

’No-one was injured and no fires were found.

’A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. ’She has been released on bail until 16 February pending further inquiries.’
