POLICE say they are currently at the scene of what is being called an ongoing incident in Kingsteignton.

Officers have been seen in Newton Road this morning and in the car park of supermarket Lidl.

A number of police vehicles including cars, a van and a dog unit are involved.

Newton Road is closed between two of the roundabouts, police have confirmed.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘We will provide updates when we are able to do so.

‘There is no wider risk to the public.

‘A road closure is in place.’
