A WOMAN clinging to a dinghy was rescued by Teignmouth’s RNLI crew this morning (Monday).

The lifeboat crew raced to the aid of the woman who had fallen out of a dinghy at Shaldon.

The volunteer lifeboat crew launched the Two Annes lifeboat at 8.43am and were quickly on scene.

An RNLI spokesperson said: ‘A woman had fallen out of a dinghy and was holding onto the rear of the boat.

‘The crew took the woman aboard the lifeboat and returned to station where she was assessed.

‘An ambulance, police and member of the Coastguard team also attended the incident.’
