COASTGUARDS from Dawlish were called into action yesterday to help with two accidents along Teignmouth seafront.

The team were sent to Teignmouth’s coastwatch tower, with RNLI lifeguards, to help paramedics after a woman had taken a fall between the tower and the Lido.

The patient was being helped by the lifeguards.

While at the scene, another call came in to say another patient was suffering a seizure further along the promenade.

The team spilt up to help with both emergencies.

A coastguard spokesman said: ‘Both incidents were successfully resolved with the patient who had taken a fall being handed over to ambulance crews.

‘The team replenished medical equipment back at the station before being put back available for our next tasking.’
