COVID cases have soared by 68.8 per cent over the past week in Teignbridge.

The latest government figures show that between 4 March 2022 and 10 March 2022, 949 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 68.6% compared to the previous seven days.

Between March 4 and 10 there have been three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 31 patients in hospital with coronavirus on March 8, with no-one on a mechanical ventilator.
