POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly man died following a collision on the M5.

Officers were called at around 11am on Tuesday, October 28 to the southbound on slip at Junction 29 following a report of a collision involving a Blue Ford Fiesta, Grey Land Rover Discovery and a Grey Mazda CX-5.

A 94-year-old male passenger of the Ford sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Sadly, the man passed away on Thursday, October 30.

A second passenger in the Ford sustained a serious injury which is not life-threatening or changing.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘It is believed a number of people will have seen this but have been unable to stop due to it being on the motorway.
